Impact Gives Back With Golf Tournament

Impact Logistics founder and CEO, David Hamilton, has been hitting the news circuit — and the links — highlighting the admirable work being done by their dedicated Impact Logistics team to promote the life-changing work being carried out by Point of Impact ministry.

Founded in 2006 by David and wife, Ruth, Point of Impact is a faith-based ministry that seeks to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ around the world by loving the “least of these” and meeting physical needs through children’s programs and local churches.

POI consists of four churches in neighborhoods in Honduras that strive to meet the physical and spiritual needs of the people. The ministry also supports four children’s programs through the churches that offer after-school tutoring, medical care, and daily nutrition to hundreds of children.

Recently, the Memphis-based POI team hosted their fourth annual Golf Tournament to raise funds and awareness for the ministry. Held on September 15 at beautiful Mirimichi Golf Course in Millington, Tennessee, the event drew more than 130 players and 55 hole sponsors.

The Impact team wants to extend a HUGE thanks to FOX 13 anchor Darrell Greene, who produced an exceptional news segment on POI and interviewed David for broadcast on the network’s Memphis television station and website.

Impact also wants to extend heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the outstanding committee of volunteers who worked tirelessly to ensure that this year’s golf tourney was a success: Jeremy Jones of Shoemaker Financial; Keith Lovett of Hawaiian Pools & Landscape; Kim McDaniel of the Mark S. McDaniel Law Firm; and Everett Stephens of Bee Energy and Mirimichi. Without the hard work and dedication of these folks the tournament would not have been possible.

We also had an immense slate of sponsors whose generosity will make it possible to positively impact many children and families in Honduras. We want to especially thank the people at the Mark S. McDaniel Law Firm; McDonnell Insurance; Metropolitan Bank; and Strategic Financial Partners. Because of the support we received this year, more than 50 children will be sponsored for an entire year.

Who knew a game of golf could make such an impact?
