CELEBRATING A NEW ROLE
As many of you know Impact Logistics takes seriously the corporate responsibility of giving back to the community and the world. For this reason we are excited to announce April Jenkins as our new Director of Corporate Philanthropy. April has been an employee with Impact Logistics since 2013.
April is married to Ricky Jenkins, a pastor at Fellowship Memphis. They have a one year old son named Camden. April was born and raised in Sacramento, CA. A scholarship offer brought her to Tennessee where she graduated from the University of Memphis. A year later April went on her very first mission trip. It was then that a love for the poor and destitute was birthed. She’s been traveling to foreign nations as often as possible ever since. In 2011, April took her first trip to Honduras with Point of Impact Global Missions. Since then she’s been heavily involved with our work there.
Ruth and I saw a passion in April on that trip that excites us for this new role for her and Impact. It was there that we first saw April playing with children at the orphanages, working alongside church leaders, and feeding meals to the hungry. April’s heart beats for the nations like few we’ve seen. She is thrilled about this next chapter with Point of Impact. She brings a love and passion for our ministry and a unique gift set that we believe will further spread the good news about POI. April will be plowing the field for new opportunities, keeping our partners informed, and sustaining Impact’s standard of excellence.
As Director of Corporate Philanthropy April will be responsible for serving as a liaison between our broad donor base and the work on the ground in Honduras. She will also keep our partners informed of the strategic opportunities that are coming up with POI and work diligently to build our partner/donor base to leverage POI to accomplish it’s mission vigorously.
Join us in celebrating this new role for April Jenkins and Impact Logistics.
